L’Orchestre de la francophonie (OF) is delighted to be working closely with the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute this summer. Four young soloists participating in ICAV, (Amelia Wawrzon, soprano; Isabella Cuminato, mezzo-soprano; Sébastien Comtois, tenor; Matt Muller, bass) will be invited to perform Beethoven’s 9th symphony at the Maison symphonique de Montréal on Sunday, July 28 at 2:30 pm.
The Audition
Reciprocally, the Orchestre de la Francophonie will accompany the 24 singers of ICAV’s Class of 2024, in a unique event with orchestra: The Audition. This will be a behind-the-scenes opportunity for our young artists to showcase their talent to influential decision-makers in the opera world. The show takes place on Friday, August 2 at 7pm at Salle Claude-Champagne, Université de Montréal.
The collaboration between our two summer academies is natural. One specializes in instrumentalists, the other in voice, but both aim to serve as springboards for the development of classical music careers.
Don’t miss your chance to discover the talent of tomorrow’s stars!
