Emmanuelle Lambert-Lemoine
Concert 1 – June 29 Salle Pierre-Mercure
Renowned for her innate musicality, compelling presence and technical precision, conductor Emmanuelle Lambert-Lemoine’s ability to create an immediate and captivating connection with musicians has made her a much-coveted conductor. She currently works with the Ottawa Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Ottawa Chamber Orchestra and the Divertimento Orchestra, conducting a dozen different programmes each season. Emmanuelle is at the helm of the Orchestre symphonique du Conservatoire de Gatineau, a project that is reviving the symphony orchestra after ten years of non-existence. For the second half of the 2023-2024 season, she assisted Jacques Lacombe at the Orchestre classique de Montréal.
Emmanuelle holds a master’s degree in conducting from the University of Ottawa and is currently completing her doctorate in viola performance at the Université de Montréal. She also studied piano performance at the University of Ottawa. She has participated in the Monteux School and Music Festival in Maine as a conductor and violist for two summers, and in conducting workshops at the Panula Academy in Helsinki. Her principal teachers include: in conducting, Michael Jimbo, Jacques Lacombe, Tiffany Lu, Ludovic Morlot, Jorma Panula, Jean-Philippe Tremblay, Dinuk Wijeratne; in viola, Juan Miguel Hernandez, David Marks, Jutta Puchhammer-Sédillot, Guillaume Sutre; in piano, Stéphane Lemelin and Jean-Paul Sévilla.
Alongside her musical career, Emmanuelle completed a Master’s degree in Performance Studies at New York University’s TISCH School of the Arts, where she focused her research on music education, political theatre and accessibility to the arts in the Americas, writing her research project on Venezuela’s El Sistema de Orquesta music programme. Her current academic research focuses on the epistemology of music education in a multicultural society and the accessibility of the arts. Emmanuelle also holds a bachelor’s degree in education and has taught and conducted for several years the wind and string orchestras of the Ontario Centre for Artistic Excellence at École secondaire publique De La Salle, in Ottawa.
Emmanuelle received a Bachelor in Social Sciences, specifically in International Studies and Modern Languages, and has worked in cultural mediation and political theatre with indigenous women’s groups in Central America and Mexico. She is fluent in French, English and Spanish, and has studied Arabic, Portuguese and German. She is also co-founder and vice-president of ASTAWT (Action for Survivors of Torture and War Trauma), an organisation that welcomes refugees to Ottawa.

Léa Moisan-Perrier
Concert 2 – 6 juillet Salle Pierre-Mercure
Artistic Director and Conductor of Orchestre symphonique de l’Estuaire, Léa Moisan-Perrier is distinguished by her energy on stage and her strong communication skills. In recent years, she has been invited to conduct numerous ensembles, including the Orchestre symphonique de Laval, the Orchestre classique de Montréal and the Orchestre symphonique de Sherbrooke. She will make her debut with the Orchestre Métropolitain in December 2025. Her career also features significant collaborations as an assistant conductor, notably alongside Jacques Lacombe at the Opéra National du Rhin in 2018, Jean-Marie Zeitouni at the Opéra Orchestre National de Montpellier in 2023, and Yannick Nézet-Séguin at the Orchestre Métropolitain in 2024 and 2025.
Dedicated to her pursuit of excellence, she participates in numerous master classes, including one with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and Rafael Payare in spring 2024. She is also mentored by Yannick Nézet-Séguin as a part of OM Academy since fall 2023.
In addition to her orchestral endeavors, Léa Moisan-Perrier has an accomplished career as a choral conductor. Since 2022, she serves as the Conductor of the prestigious Choir of the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul in Montreal. Under her dynamic and refined leadership, the ensemble presents an ambitious repertoire, featuring collaborations with Ensemble Caprice and the Musicians’ Association of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. From 2017 to 2023, she served as Artistic Director of the Chœur des enfants de Montréal and also founded and conducted Les Voix parallèles from 2015 to 2022.
Léa Moisan-Perrier holds a master’s degree in orchestra conducting from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, where she studied under Jacques Lacombe and Jean-Marie Zeitouni, graduating in the spring of 2023. She is also a trained pianist, singer, and choral conductor, with a bachelor’s degree in piano from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, a master’s degree in choral conducting from the Université de Sherbrooke, and a bachelor’s degree in classical singing from the Université de Montréal. Her accolades include a scholarship of excellence from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal in 2022, the Moulin Seigneurial scholarship in 2016, and the Iwan Edwards Prize in 2017.

Julien Proulx
Concert 3 – 20 juillet Salle Pierre-Mercure
Named Artistic Director of the Year at the 2022 Opus Awards, Julien Proulx has been at the helm of the Orchestre symphonique de Drummondville (OSD) since 2014, where his thoughtful and audacious programming has revitalized the musical life of his community. A generous and imaginative musician, his ability to think outside the box led him to explore alternative musical ventures during the pandemic, including innovative digital projects and unique concert events. By turning restrictions into opportunities, he found new ways of reaching audiences while empowering musicians to express their creativity.
With the OSD, Julien Proulx has twice been awarded the Prix Opus Régions by the Conseil québécois de la musique: first in 2018 for the orchestra’s Prince et Tsar concert and then in 2020 for its Bel Canto concert, two events where the vocal arts took centre stage.
A cellist and singer by training, he is also a renowned choral conductor, frequently leading performances of symphonic choral repertoire.
Julien Proulx was conductor-in-residence for the I Musici de Montréal chamber ensemble, working under Maestro Yuli Turovsky. He has also conducted orchestras across Canada, including the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Nova Scotia, the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, the Orchestre Métropolitain, Les Violons du Roy, the Orchestre du Festival international de Lanaudière and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. Whether as a teacher or in his role as artistic director, Julien Proulx is always eager to mentor up‑and‑coming conductors and musicians and to share his passion for music with the public.
