Orchestra auditions are open!

The season will take place mainly in Montreal

There is no audition fee

Instrumentalists selected for the orchestra will have the opportunity to audition for the concerto competition. Three proposals will be selected. The proposed concertos must respect the instrumentation and are open to all instruments. Each concerto will be performed at one of the season’s concerts. So get ready!

  • Symphony no. 39 K.543, W.A. Mozart
  • Symphony in C Major, G. Bizet
  • Le Tombeau de Couperin, M. Ravel
  • Symphony no. 1 “Classical”, S. Prokofiev
  • Piano concerto no. 2, S. Rachmaninoff
  • Symphony no. 6, P.I. Tchaïkovsky
  • Die Zauberflöte, W.A. Mozart, in collaboration with The Canadian Vocal Arts Institute
  • Contemporary pieces
  • Opera arias
  • Music mediation

Conditions

  • Auditions are online only.
  • Musicians must be between 18 and 30 years old as of 26 June, 2025
  • Each candidate must present five contrasting orchestral excerpts, as well as a short piece with or without accompaniment of a maximum of 8 minutes.

  • All musicians will receive a scholarship of $1,500 (CAD) at the end of the internship as well as a $750 (CAD) accommodation allowance for students whose residence is outside greater Montréal (proof required).
